“... lyrics sometimes profound but ALWAYS ENGAGING delivered in a CLEAR, COMPELLING voice which makes for great listening ...” - Chuck Elliott, WXPN's Sleepy Hollow
"Over the last 3 years, the WIGWAM team have had an ongoing love affair with the music of Tracy Colletto - her compositions convey characteristic resilience, while also exposing some hidden frailties" — Mike Green, Radio WIGWAM
“Tracy Colletto’s music is a powerful symphonic blend of piano-based pop with authentic lyrics and a voice that is unique, yet somehow familiar.” Bree Noble, Award Winning Women of Substance Radio & Podcast
Short Bio
Tracy Colletto has garnered favorable comparisons to Alanis Morissette and Joni Mitchell for her songwriting and vocal style. Her songs are “ambient, atmospheric, dream pop folk,” and they have been added to playlists for many terrestrial and online radio stations, including WXPN’s Sleepy Hollow.
Tracy has been nominated for “Best Alt. Country Song” at the 15th Independent Music Awards (“The Ride”), earned an Honorable Mention in the John Lennon International Songwriting Competition (“The Promise”), listed as “Ones to Watch” by Nashville Songwriter Association International (“Diving In”) and was a Finalist of the Great American Song Contest (“Diving In”).
Tracy’s sophomore album Chocolate Happy Cake is produced by Grammy® Award-winning producer-engineer Glenn Barratt (Melody Gardot). The album’s acoustic folk pop tracks are rich with sentiment, personal transformation and the will to persevere. Glenn assembled the lineup of musicians: Michael G Ronstadt, well-known Philly bass player Chico Huff, and Erik Johnson and Kevin Hansen, both of the rock band, Huffamoose.
In 2019 Tracy worked with producer Brian McTear (Joan Osbourne) for singles “Rosa,” “Pretty Lights” and “Those Secrets,” the latter features Patrick Berkery (The War on Drugs) on drums. “Diving In,” produced by McTear, was released in 2021. “Be Kind to Yourself,” produced by Paul Statham, of B-Movie, released in 2022 and “Take Me,” produced by Christina Taylor, released in 2023. When not creating music, Tracy also has a passion for the natural world, the environment, visual arts and traveling.
